Financial reform key as Obama meets with Greek leader
Global financial reform topped the agenda Tuesday as President Obama huddled with Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou, whose country is at the center of Europe's debt crisis.
Greece, pressing for curbs on financial speculation it blames for worsening the country's debt crisis, said on Tuesday the idea would be examined by the Group of 20 leading powers at their next summit.
Wintrust Financial Corp., which operates community bank subsidiaries, said Tuesday it sold 5.8 million shares in a public offering that netted about $182.9 million.
