Tempe wants Google's ultra-high speed Internet network
TEMPE, AZ (KOLD) - Tempe is vying to be one of Google's test markets for their ultra-high speed Internet network, The State Press reports. Google wants to implement a fiber optic network that will allow users to blaze through the Internet 100 times faster than current speeds.
Bozeman is one of numerous places vying for Google's attention in hopes of being a guinea pig for the company's new ultra high-speed Internet. Now Sarasota, Florida is entering the race, renaming Island City "Google Island."
